I'm confused with the 'commemoration of feria' for feast of st Lucy, 12 Dec. What does 42*/17*/11* mean? Does it mean that the Magnificat antiphon is said twice, 1 from the commemoration of the saint, and another from the advent ordinary?

Kate Edwards said...

At Vespers the Magnificat antiphon is of the feast.

As part of the closing prayers, though, you make a commemoration using the texts from those pages, viz after the collect of the feast, say the canticle antiphon of the Advent day, the versicle and collet of the Advent week.
