Hello...I have just recently started with the MD. I used the MD for Lauds this morning following your Ordo that you send out. I have two questions: Where are the Festal Psalms found? Also, there were five antiphons for the Guardian Angels today starting with Psalm 92. There seemed to be two *left over*. Did I miss something? Thank you for your time.

That was truly helpful and much more than I thought. I will check out the link you sent me. Thank you so much Kate!

Dear Theresa,

The festal psalms are included in the Sunday psalms of Lauds - when they are used, Lauds works as follows:

Introductory prayers and Psalm 66 (as usual)
Antiphon 1 - Psalm 92 (MD 44) - Antiphon 1
Antiphon 2 - Psalm 99 (MD 44) - Antiphon 2
Antiphon 3 - Psalm 62 (MD 45) - Antiphon 3
Antiphon 4 - festal canticle of the day of the week (for Holy Angels, Friday, MD 123) - Antiphon 4
Antiphon 5 - Laudate psalms (Ps 148, 149, 150) from either Sunday or the day of the week sections - Antiphon 5

Hope this helps. But I strongly recommend you take a look at the how to say the Office notes in the righthand sidebar of the blog page. The notes on Lauds for feasts can be found here: http://saintsshallarise.blogspot.com.au/2009/05/learning-office-part-xb-sunday-lauds.html
