Saints and feasts of March

The table below shows the saints celebrated in the Office, as well as selected additional saints of interest for the Monastic, Extraordinary Form Roman (1960) and Ordinary Form calendars.

If you click on the links, you can find out more about the saint or feast in question.

Note that not every feast is celebrated every year, or celebrated in the same way: where a feast coincides with a Sunday or a moveable feast, one must consult the 'two tables' in the rubrics.

In addition, during Lent, under the 1960 rules, Class III feasts are reduced to a commemoration at lauds only.  However, the provisions of Cum Sanctissima allows these to be celebrated as Class III feasts on an optional basis.
